Media Monitoring or Press Monitoring includes the recording of radio and television broadcasts, the collection of press clippings from print media publications, and the collection of data from online information sources. The material collected usually consists of any media output that makes reference to the client, its activities and/or its designated topics of interests. These clippings are presented along with the circulation from these platforms. It is possible to report on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, to deliver a brief summary of the articles or to sort them by category and even to calculate publicity value of a range of press clippings (e.g. after a PR action or on a yearly basis to evaluate the efforts and return of one or more PR actions).
